Valéria Martins, a Portuguese artist, lives in Porto, Portugal.
She completed the Professional Photography Course at the Portuguese Institute of Photography. She did an internship at Time Out Porto magazine and it was on this same journey, that she developed more authorial projects combining photography, cinema, and performance.
She took part in the group exhibition "Crises" at Porto Femme - International Film Festival (2021) and collaborated in the project "O Douro dos Fotógrafos" with the group exhibition "Dupla Exposição" (2023) at the museum Casa da Imagem. It has received funding from the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, and the National Culture Center to present her first solo installation “Bas-Bleu” (2022) at the cultural and independent art space Ermo do Caos, in Porto.
She recently graduated in Visual Arts - Photography from the Escola Superior Artística do Porto.
